Creating,Imagining and innovating

"The future is not some place we are going to but one we are creating. The paths are not to be
found, but made, and the activity of making them changes both the maker and the destination."

A easier way to define this habit of mind is "Try a different way", and this is what we did during our "making our own battery experiment." The experiment is aim to raise the volts to 1.5. So Jonthan and me decided to use Mag and Carbon for the two testing chemicals, so we start our first trial! But soonly we find out it was not an easy experiment to accomplish, because we followed all the concepts and we only got to about 0.1 volts. Quickly we decided to redo the experiment and tried to use more solution in order to increase the volts, and it actually turns from 0.1 to about 0.3 volts. After a quick conversation with my partner Jonthan, we choose to use our skill of innovation to test that our experiment is set up correctly or not. So we asked a classmate to become the "conductor" for this experiment, and the result was actually pretty good; it was about 1.3 volts. Then we started our third trial, which we actually heated our solution to about 50 degress. From the past experience, by heating the solution, the particles will react faster with other particles. So we did our third trial and surprisly the volt number got to 1.1 volts, which is a great improvement!

By having the idea of creating, imagining and innovating can really help us during our lab and our tests. During a lab, by having a creative mind really benefit the whole group, because when a group is facing a problem that no one is able to answer it. By having a creative mind became fairly imporant, and often time it can helps out the group. During a test, it is common for a student who suddenly forgot some key information for an answer, so by thinking differently may help us during a test.
